I used this to make a 3†thick piece comprised of four 5/8†thick plywood sections that I glued together. The bit worked very well on my first use. I will downgrade this review if the bit wears too quickly. 11/28/24

Used for pattern routing profiles for tails on pergola rafters. Jigsaw close to line then use this bit for the last 1/16 or 1/8 inch. Or more. No problem. Using 3-1/4hp router on medium speed I was able to plow through all my work in short order. I recommend a variable speed router for sure.The upper bearing is very narrow, and it made me a little concerned that it might not be robust enough for the job, but it survived just fine. Be aware though and make sure that your pattern template has a clean, solid edge for the bearing to ride on. If you use mdf for your pattern, I advise that you at least shellac the edge before use. Works great.

As a professional woodworker I was a little reluctant to purchase this set of bits mainly due to lack of name recognition. I can wholeheartedly recommend these as they actually are the best flush cutting bits our company has ever used.

I got this bit to flush-trim the ends of deck boards before using a round-over bit to finish them off. I barely got halfway through one job before this bit started bogging down and smoking. I was able to power through and nearly finish, but still left a half dozen boards untouched. The inserts are advertised as being carbide, but they dulled so quickly I think they're probably tool steel or HSS. I returned it for a refund. Would not recommend.

This bit will remove a lot of material very quickly. The cut results are not as smooth as a conventional shearing bit. A word of advise; practice on a number of test pieces before using it on a project.
