product is good except for the size of the center screw which broke when I took it out of a piece of OAK.IF this screw was twice it's size I'm sure it would be a great tool. I could not get the broken part of the screw out of the face plate. Therefore I can NOT use it before

Well packaged, runs true. Came with two center screws and some short countersunk screws for mounting your part. Good deal.It's thick and well made with two sets of holes for mounting. No burrs, nickel plated.

The faceplate appears well made and solid.However, I should have immediately checked that it spun square. After a couple of uses mounting to rough sawn bowl blanks I thought it was a decent tool. However the first time I screwed it to a plywood piece I use for remounting bowl blanks I noticed a large wobble.Long story short the faceplate is nearly a 16th of an inch out of square making it useless on a lathe. Unfortunately I am well out of a return or refund period.

Appears Functional - Poor Casting/Machining/Finish. Looks like it was kicked around the shop floor before it was shipped. Defects appear to be cosmetic.Mounting screws too small. I wouldn't trust them to hold workpiece in place. More cost and time to go to the hardware store for suitable screws.I'd return it, if I didn't need to use it immediately. I might still return it...
