I got these to replace rusting OEM U Bolts on the guide posts for my jet ski trailer. The nuts spun easily on all 4 bolts. However, I apparently over tightened one bolt using just a box end wrench, and I could not get the nut to unscrew. If when I got out by impact wrench, it would not budge. I had to eventually shear off the bolt. I have since read the same complaint from other reviewers for other vendors selling similar stainless u bolts.I believe it has something to do with the fact they are stainless steel, and the composition of the metals. So, be aware if you ever intend to unbolt these, do not over tighten them. Despite my problem with these, which I attribute to operator error, I ordered two more sets of these for my other skis.My only complaint is the lack of lock washers with these sets. If they came with lock washers, I doubt I would have tightened these bolts up as much to make sure they didn't loosen up. Nevertheless, I did not deduct a star as a result.

These square u-bolts are a perfect fit around the 2-inch square galvanized steel tubing that is commonly used in carport and metal building construction. I used these to mount a garden hose reel and a power cord reel to the vertical "legs" of a carport with open sides. The u-bolts worked perfectly, and so far they have held up extremely well. The garden hose reel is very heavy when full of water, the u-bolts haven't budged at all.No signs of corrosion or rust after being exposed to the elements for several months. Seems to be good quality stainless steel.
