When my daughter was born we used a fish scale to weigh her the first few weeks. Baby blanket secured with a hemostat (clamp) and zeroed the scale before adding her. I bought this one for her son. When breastfeeding it is good to know they made it back to birth-weight within a week or so. And babies look so cute wiggling in the blanket like they are being carried by a stork. Brings back memories.

I got this SNAIL TRAIL fishing scale for my father-in-law, who’s an avid fisherman, and it’s been really handy for him. It’s now part of his regular gear when he heads out. The scale is pretty accurate, which is important when you’re trying to get the weight of a good catch. The waterproof and anti-corrosion design is a big plus since he’s out in saltwater a lot. It’s easy to read with the sliding marker that locks at the highest weight, and I like that it measures both in pounds and kilograms. No batteries needed, so it’s one less thing to worry about. The hook storage and zero setting features are convenient, too. Overall, a solid tool that he’s happy to have in his fishing kit!

The scale is smaller than I expected, it works ok. However, I have a tray that weighs 2-1/2 lbs and I cannot zero to that weight.
