I am an electronics hobbyist.I took a while to review these because I wanted to make a "556 timer tester" as found on the web. I tested all of these and they passed.One can use these as a 556 dual timer, or just use one half if all you need is a 555.

There's pretty much no limit to the number of ways you can use a 555/556 IC, just a question of where to get them from.When I read the description of it being a 20 piece of the 556 and sockets, I assumed it'd be 10 chips and 10 sockets. Pleasantly surprised it wound up being 20 of each. I have no idea how they managed to pack them so well in the little snaptop container!Testing a few out, they seem to work well. If you have someone who is interested in hobby electronics, these are great to have in their tool kit.
