These are inserts to replace the rubber only portion of the wiper, at least for the front. The rear is a complete wiper frame and blade. Important...If you don't have the original front wiper blade frame(s) that came on the car from the factory these inserts won't work. Installation isn't difficult, it only takes a few minutes. Why'd I buy these... I expect they are cheaper than buying the entire contraption from Subaru, plus they work well, are quiet, operate smooth and hold up over time. Only con I've got is I wish they were a little cheaper.

Glad I got the OEM refills. They fit perfectly and work like new. Thank you.

Product date on package for these wiper blades when received 2017. The packed was very yellowed. Rubber does have a shelf life, my opinion they expired.

Not the easiest to install. You might want to try when the temps are above 60F when the materials are more malleable. I found it was easier to separate the metal spines from the rubber, then thread the rubber through the holders on the arm, and finally threading the spines on either side of the rubber.Note the front wipers were manufactured on June 2017. Lastly, the front wipers come with the rubber and metal spines and the rear wiper is the arm assembly.

I’ve tried several different aftermarket brands like Bosch and RainX, but I find that these OEM bladrs actually do a better job and last quite a bit. I also prefer the sleeker OEM lock of the factory wiper arms which these replacement cartridges slide into. They are also fairly easy to install provided that you don’t try to slide them in from the wrong end of the wiper arm. The easiest way to do this is to remove the wiper arms from the car and swap the blades out indoors where it’s dry and you can see what you’re doing.

2016 Subaru Outback. The front refills do not fit into the hybrid wiper blades so I you have to buy the entire wiper assembly.

The wiper blade replacement fit and functions great which is why I only buy OEM replacement parts for my vehicle. Oh yeah, these are way cheaper on Amazon then my local dealer which is sad because I always see my local retailer first.
