The Smoke Master 3000 is so well made and comes equipped with such a complete set of accessories, the set feels like medical-grade equipment for life support or something. The unit itself is available in red or green; I chose red, the traditional mechanics color.My Ford F150 had an annoying tendency to get check engine fault codes P0171 and P0174, System Too Lean, Bank 1 and Bank 2, respectively. This would happen ONLY if I went for a short drive (5 minutes), turned the engine off for 5 to 10 minutes... Then right after upon startup, the faults would occur---especially if I had to accelerate quickly to enter traffic, etc. Also, the engine would "stutter" and jerk during low speed acceleration (poor torque). So I entered the above information into a Google search, and the AI result suggested an intake system vacuum leak was the problem.After getting the Autoline Pro Smoke Master 3000, I separated the air filter canister just after the air filter. I could not use the included rubber cone because the MAF sensor was protruding into the airway. So I used the included air bladder adapter for a perfect fit. (The kit even includes a spare bladder.) After turning the unit on and enabling the smoke, the hose produce smoke in about 15 to 20 seconds. Then I plugged the hose end fitting into the rubber bladder inlet. WIithin about another 20 seconds, smoke began flowing out of a leak underneath the air filter canister. The problem was that a rubber grommet around the MAF sensor wires had pull loose from the filter canister, likely during a repair such as replacing the water pump some time ago. As simple and dumb as the failure mode was, and requiring no new parts to fix it, a typical mechanic would still charge as much or more than the cost of this product for their service.Now I can set about testing the other systems on my truck for leaks as well... as my only "complaint" is that the fun was over too soon on finding this first fault. I'll also look for a 1 PSI regulator to use before testing the EVAP system. The machine produces smoke so fine and wispy, I can easily find the most minute leaks. If I could give this product 10 stars, I would. HIGHLY recommended!

I did a lot of research on these and settled on this one, even though it cost a little more. I'm glad I got this one. The accessories make the tool, and all of the accessories are clearly extremely high quality... the fact they're using Goodyear hose on the rubber cone is one sign of that. Even the ziplock bags the accessories come in are heavy gauge and nice.The only issue I have is there's no pressure regulator. You can control the flow, and you can READ the pressure, but not control the pressure of the output. I got like 15psi out of this thing, which could be enough to start blowing hoses off. My car even has a label that says 1psi max limit on the EVAP test port.

This is a nice little machine. Comes with lots of accessories. The tail pipe plugs and the expanding attachment is nice.My advice when using this...just be patient and let the smoke and pressure build. It will help you find smaller leaks that you might have missed.
