Don't put one in your daily driver, stick shift truck on big tires. Every annoyance of a Detroit locker is exaggerated with the stick and big tires.. I read other people's opinions saying the same things, and I put one in my sas'd 97 chevy cummins nv4500 grunt truck on 35's anyway. I'm the kind of guy that can put up with some downside if the upside is there. The detroit is awesome when you're using it for what it was made for, but for a daily driver truck like mine it takes some of the fun out of driving it. Wishing I would have put an air locker in it.

Cracks at spline after 3000 miles use:Product has a 1 year “manufacture†warranty. Product had a 1 month “amazon†return window.Eaton Detroit says amazon has to do the return, Amazon says Eaton Detroit Manufacturer warranty should honor exchange.Currently just want someone to honor an exchange!Everyone passing the buck!Beware in the event you have to do an exchange, it would be to your benefit to pay more from a different distributor.Even Eaton Detroit don’t understand or can explain to me then why/how amazon is allowed to sell their product without honoring their exchange/return policy.

Put 1 in my old plow/dump truck. 89 GMC V30, It weighs about 8,000 pounds empty. I have an 8 ft wide western plow & I can push snow rolling over top of the blade as far as I want now. It never gets stuck anymore. Sure, it pops & snaps a little on dry pavement, but I bought the truck to haul wood/gravel/stone/dirt & plow snow. I plow up hill on a rutted dirt road with ease. I even pulled a semi truck out of the snow. With 4 or 5 ton in the bed I could probably turn the earth with the traction I have now. LOL
