This tool is a little hinky to set up. Does it work? Yes. Is it better/faster than a large set of channel locks spreading the pads open? Definitely not faster or easier. Maybe a good tool for new cars. On what I own, this too is too long of set up and too finicky for my tastes

For ages i've used the turn style clamp of these and always hated the amount of time it would take to turn and then having to reposition if it's a double piston caliper. With these i was able to compress the pistons so quickly the first time i got afraid i was going to rupture something. After getting the hang of using these even with one hand while supporting the caliper i moved through the job with ease.

I'm so use to using a c clamp that I struggled a little with these. Once you get them aligned they are easy to use. It's like using a caulk gun.

Depending on the style of caliper you have these may not work. You have to have one side of the caliper that has a center hole/gap where this can fit. Some more modern dual and quad piston calipers won't work but most old school single piston calipers will work.

Easy to use. Makes compressing caliper pistons a breeze. Use it on my Classic Muscle Car. Did the job.

In the past I would use a C clamp to compress the cylinder which would usually get the job done but there is nothing like using the proper specific tool to get the job done.
