This device operates excellently. The Generator Power Cord features a 50 AMP standard male connector. It is a quality cord intended for connecting your portable generator to an external power socket. The S7 handle allows for easier and safer plugging and unplugging, minimizing the risk of damage to the cord. The elbow plug head is designed to reduce stress and pressure when connected to the outlet, ensuring both flexibility and durability.

This cord is heavier than my mother! Expect to have some muscle when lugging this cord around.

had a smaller generator years ago, only ran fridge and a few lights and fans, should have done a window unit, but that was a strain. bout a Westinghouse duel fuel generator big enough to run AC, and they said get a plug no longer than 30 ft. I wanted to get 75 so generator would be further from the house but it weights ALOT HAHA 30 lb fine, Ill have to see what the big baby would have weighed. My previous cord, wasn't this heavy, I probably would have burned the house down. (I know alot more about the RIGHT extension cord, so only makes sense if you are running enough wattage to power a 2 ton ac, you need a decent extension cord. hooked well to interlock and the generator, comes with something to bundle it up, and hang when not in use!

Just what I was looking for: the right connectors on each end, heavy 6-guage copper conductors for the two hot and the neutral wires and heavy-enough 8-guage copper conductor for the ground wire inside a flexible water-proof jacket. It included an extra threaded "spacer" ring for the female SS2-50R connector end of the cable in case it might be needed with that connector to securely (and waterproofly) connect to your electrical system connector (my connection didn't need the extra ring). This cable is big and heavy, but is more flexible than I expected. I could lay it out in the path I wanted with no trouble and could coil it back up without too much trouble. The carrying handle they provided was difficult to use, with a limited coil thickness range it would work with, and no positive locking mechanism. It relies on friction from the lifting action to keep it locked. Once that pressure is lessened for any reason, the handle opens back up - poor design. Finally, the cord was priced competitively and delivered quickly. Like I said, it was just what I was hoping it would be.

My old shore power cord finally broke down, and I had to replace it. I was pleasantly surprised when this one arrived. It is not as stiff and heavy as my old cord, yet it seems to handle the demands of a diesel motorhome just fine. The twist on connector to the motorhome fit my old connector perfectly. The male end that goes into the campground power pedestal fits well and is easy to remove, thanks to the handle built in. Time will tell how long this lasts, but after several uses in the real world, I’m satisfied. Less difficult to manage yet works well, what’s not to like?
