Purchased for my 80+ year old mother, who has a hard time opening jars. We have tried numerous different openers. I can food for her in single servings. Or use canning jars to store freeze dried foods. She gets very frustrated when trying to open jar for a meal.Christmas came, and I was excited for her to try out this opener. I brought several jars (wide mouth and regular mouth) of canned or freeze dried food for Christmas dinner, and snacks. Had her open every jar. No struggling at all! Opener didn't slip off the lids. Lids were not damaged, so can be used again for vacuum sealing the freeze dried foods. (Gifted with a hand held vacuum sealer for jars, slides over lid, push button, wait 40 seconds, and done) the whole family was impressed with how easy it is to use! And the fat handle is easy to grip for us with smaller hands. Not much pressure is needed to open a jar. Can also be used to open store bought jars, with twist top lids. Just gently release the seal, you will hear a pop and sucking noise upon release, and twist off with ease. I like it so much, I will be buying for myself and canning friends. Definitely worth the money. Better than JarKey brand opener, which she has chipped off the lip, from struggling to open jars, so much it is now unusable.

Very happy with this product! It works great on all jars, very easy to use and removes the lids without damaging it, if you want to reuse them. The handle is very comfortable for an easy grip, I don’t have to strain my wrist anymore! Amazing deal on this opener right now! Highly recommend!

I find myself reaching for this all the time!! I am thinking of buying this for all of my children and my family for Christmas. Such a great Christmas idea.!! Not only does it open up those pesky hard to open sometimes mason jars, but it is also great to open up jams from the store ..Such as pickles or anything else that may be in a in a jar. It helps to loosen up the seal, so you can open the jar with ease..

The design of this thing is the same at the top, but the bottom is definitely different. I was looking for one of these and looked at a lot of different ones, and read reviews on each one. Then I came amongst this one and decided to give it a try just because it was different and the handle looked more comfortable when handling then the others. It works really well so far, I don't throw this in the dish washer just because the detergent for the dishwasher is not as nice to certain things and this would be one of them. I like this and recommend this to anyone looking for mason jar opener. I gave it 4 stars only because I have used it twice.

I use mason jar vacuum sealer on my mason jars for my weekly meal prep and wanted to try this opener so the lids won't be damaged as I'm taking them off and on a lot. I find this one works really well - so far none of the lids have any damage to them and it re-seals again perfectly. The handle is really nice and I find it also works well to open regular jars. It is a bit pricier than basic lid lifters but i find it looks a whole lot nicer, so worth the cost in my books.

I have cut myself trying to open things that I canned. Nothing worked well until I tried this handy gadget. It is so easy to use that I will buy more as gifts. I really like the large comfortable handle. I can tell it’s solidly made. It’s a good deal - just buy it!

I absolutely love this handy little gadget! Only a few days in and I’ve reached for it several times. It’s perfect for opening my home-canned goods without damaging the lids, so I can reuse them for vacuum sealing. No more struggling with a knife and risking damage to the lids—or to myself. I highly recommend this product! I find the price reasonable and I’m so glad I bought one, and I’ll be ordering more to give as gifts!
