I was a bit apprehensive about replacing just this pull string switch, but after further research and review. it was much simpler than anticipated. much more affordable than replacing the whole wiring harness.

I bought a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan for my patio, but never installed it. Four years later, I decided to install it in a bedroom. When I tested the fan's pull chain switch, the chain came right out even before I'd installed the fan. (Needless to say I couldn't return the ceiling fan. )This switch fits my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan and operates the 3-speeds perfectly!

This does the job but the chain is so short it doesn't make it through the standoff arm. I was able to extend it by using the old chain but I had to cut off the pull ornament and have no extra link to reattach it. It really just needs a longer chain with a link attached and it would be perfect. Still it makes the fan go different speeds.

I liked that these pull chain switches were the original manufacturers replacement that failed in my Hunter fan that I installed in 2017. Very good quality replacements. Fast delivery and easy to replace. In my circumstance the switch mechanism jammed and lost the 3 speed selection function. The new replacement part from Amazon solved the problem.

This saved me from buying a new fan light. The chain on the fan broke from inside and therefor I could not control the fan. Saw this on Amazon and it was so easy to do. I am a 66 year old woman and had no problem what so ever. Just observe where the wires went to on the old switch for the correct placement.

The old switch had the wires going into the holes on the one side but this replacement holds the wires very weakly that way. Working for now but I need to look for a better replacement.
