I found this to be an exact match with the foot switch on my lamp. It took 15-20 minutes to complete. The hardest part was pulling one of the wires out of the broken switch. Once that was done, it went back together so easily. I did this on Christmas Eve Eve at 10:40 p.m. and was done by 11:00!

It's OK if you are working with 22 AWG wire or smaller and have a ferrule crimper which most people don't. Forget the ferrules - they are useless anyway because there is no room for them between the switch and the plastic screw-post.I stripped 5/16" of insulation off the ends of an 18 AWG lamp-cord, tinned the wires and inserted them into the switch as per instructions and everything went well.Bear in mind that this switch only switches one wire (hopefully the hot smooth wire not the ribbed one) so, unless you have a polarized plug, you probably shouldn't be using it.

This item is for solid wire. Also. I only received one. This was not a 2 pack like what was offered. I only received 1.
