This is the BEST, nothing else that I've gotten for my cat holds his interest like this.

My kitty hates these toys. They light up! Yippee! But they don't roll across anything! They're too heavy for her to pick up and not fun to slap around, so they just sit there like useless round things that flash! Don't waste your money on toys your cat will be disappointed in.

My cats got a couple rounds of enjoyment befit just quit. Stopped taking a charge vis its usb. I tried others. Nothing! Dud! and for the price was totally not worth it I thought maybe. The reason why I’m giving it to stars was because me and the kiddies did get a kick out of it and so did other people would they happen to be here if I let them loose, the cat toy balls that is lol, but I think that only happened five times before it just wouldn’t take a charge anymore and I know they’re also supposed to avoid things you know objects, and that sort of deal. I didn’t see where it performed any better than other ones I’ve had before in the past from other manufacturers earlier in years.

It definitely keeps the cat's attention when it's working. The issue is that the arm/tail apparatus that attaches to the ball pops off easily when the cat plays with it or sometimes when it runs into something too hard. You'll hear a grinding gear like sound and have to pop it back together to get it working again. Defeats the purpose of having an autonomous toy like this. Also, be prepared to clean up tiny bright orange hairs from all over the place as they fall or are pulled off the tail by your living room tiger.

I have several cats, and quite a few toys for them. These cat ball toys are far and away the fastest moving, bounciest, most powerful, and most cat-eye-catching I've had them play with. In fact, I'd say these are just about the perfect cat toy, except for one design defect that causes problems. The ball is mostly covered with a sturdy flexible rubber grippy-tread, so it gets plenty of traction on any reasonably smooth floor - no, not a shag carpet, but any surface short of that will be fine. There's a little flap you bend open to access the standard USB-C charging port, and another designated spot that hides the power button to turn it on.When active, it flashes colored lights, and skitters randomly all over the floor, waving its soft fabric tail behind it. The cats can't keep their eyes off it! For whatever reason, they don't seem to chase and pounce on it as much as I expected, but they sure do like having it running around. And that leads to the one problem: the hub of the ball-wheel is keyed into the flimsy plastic harness that holds the tail and which serves as a keel or rudder. Since the toy moves so quickly and is entirely unguided, it normally stops by simply ramming full speed into a wall or piece of furniture. Every so often, it hits just-so, knocking the ball loose from its harness, and rendering it incapable of further movement. If this happens under a sofa or bookcase, you'll have to find it, fish out the pieces yourself, and reassemble them in order to get it working again. This isn't hard, and I haven't ever seen anything actually break. It's just annoying - a simple set-screw could have avoided this problem.Perhaps some future version of this toy will be improved. Even as it is, though, this is a great value - you get two of them for a low price, and they're loads of fun for you and your kitties.

I'm not sure how other small predators will react to it, including dogs, but WOW! This thing is fun! It's got 3 modes: slow, fast and interactive, and it's fun for ME to watch. Given my age and how jaded I am, that's pretty good! Now, if only I had a cat, I'd be writhing on the floor in laughter! My daughter's cat will have to suffice, I guess, since I'm dangerously allergic! This thing will zoom all over and, in interactive mode, it'll even shake itself to get the cat's attention! It can get itself into and out of all kinds of spots but it does have one weakness: sometimes it goes fast enough and hits something hard enough that it knocks loose the yoke assembly, which is needed for it to be able to move. In that case, just pick it up, wait for it to stop (or turn it off) and reseat it.As a free bonus, this thing will collect hair on the floor for you. Just take the yoke off and throw it all away! I'll bet you didn't expect to get a robotic hair cleaner, too, did you?! ;)

Cat likes it, but the first one died after 2 charges, set on low it doesn't whap into things so hard and disconnect its axle, had to prepare a room for it to be used in. Hopefully, the second one lasts longer.

I'm not sure the designer of this toy owned cats. This thing is crazy fast. It slams into baseboard, down stairs etc. it regularly dislodges itself from ball so it requires you to find it and fix it several times during use. It also does an incredible job of collecting hair from al over the floor. It also scares my cat. She runs into the other room when I turn it on. If the speed could be turned down a LOT, it could be decent, but even its slow mode is too fast.
