It's very sturdy and it holds a lot more than the ones I previously used. I don't have to refill as often.

We needed these right now so we will have to take the disappointment. One bag came in with a perfectly good string, and the other bag came in with a cheap thin string.
Mike The price is high for the pounds you received

I have owned and used countless hay nets and these are the best I have owned yet.I cannot speak for longevity, as I have only had them for a week or so; but, I see no reason not to expect them to last a long time. There are so many details about these that make them the best.1. Lots of metal rings at the top.2. Every metal ring is welded, so they are not going to pull open and start catching themselves on the netting (and I am not going to have to weld them myself)3. The top strands terminate at the metal rings and are braided back upon themselves --- not merely looped and knotted.4. The draw-string rope is approximately 3/8-inch and sufficiently long for tying --- not the usually supplied tiny string.5. There is a large metal ring at the bottom.I add a large big-round-eyed "Bolt Snap" to the bottom ring, snapped onto the ring.I route the draw-string through a horse-shoe that is permanently screwed to the barn post and as high up as my 6'2" frame can reach.I pull the loaded net until the hay is right up against this horse-shoe hanger.I then thread the draw-string through the eye of the big snap already mentioned.A 3-foot length of log-chain is attached to the barn post and has another big snap at it's top and a third snap that gets snapped into the appropriate link of the chain. The draw-string, already threaded through the snap that is connected to the large bottom ring of the net, gets threaded through the movable snap and pulled tight to be captured by the top immovable snap. With the draw-string thus threaded through the snap that is on the bottom ring of the net, the bag of hay is prevented from swinging willy-nilly and therefore makes it easier for the horse to get the hay.To load the hay nets, I have two 14-inch shelf brackets attached to the hay stall door, about 20-inches apart. To the tops of these shelf brackets are screwed 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 sticks of wood, 20-inches long.About two inches from each end of this wood are #16 Coated nails, driven in such that about two inches of each nail remains undriven and this is bent into a hook.A stout coat hook is attached between the two shelf brackets.I hook the center of the hay net over the coat hook and the appropriate metal rings get hooked onto the bent nails. This holds my hay net wide open for loading.I load this morning's hay last night and tonight's hay this morning.I tie the loaded hay net on a gate and thoroughly soak the hay with the water hose and let it hang until the next feeding, at which time I hang it as already described. This water soaking prevents the dry strangling dust that is always present in quality hay that is put up by modern methods.I hope this is of benefit to someone in making there hay net decision and I hope Amazon has more to sell soon as I intend to buy many.

Works well, had these for 6 months and they are in great shape but I don’t use them all the time. Only if I need to stall or in the trailer. None of which I do very often.

These bags hold about half a square bale ( 2 string ) . They open up wide to load hay. They have a very long string on them so I find I have to wind the string around the stuffed bale and secure with a snap to keep the net from hanging to low as the horses eat the hay . The length of the string could be a potential hazard if not secured. So far they are holding up to my aggressive eaters.
