How to choose the appropriate connector
1. Determine the light strip type
- Color, width, and waterproof rating of strips are the key points to choosing a appropriate connector. It doesn't have much to do with whether the chips of your light strip is 3528 or 5050.
2. Choose the right connector according to your needs
DIY Strip to wire connetor
22awg,20awg standard or non-standard solid wire can be applied. not only can be firmly clamped, but also easy to open and reuse
Solid Strip to wire connector
Have strict requirements on the wires, such as the standard wire 20 awg can be well matched, and it is difficult to open again after closing.
Ordinary connector with pigtail
Fixed wire length, less load current.
How to use the strip to wire connector
1. Open the wire clip.
2. Use a fingernail to press the two wires into the slot.
3. Insert your 8mm LED light strip inside the clip underneath the two contact prongs, making sure the + and - symbols align.
4. Snap the wire clip shut. Pull on the wire to confirm you've secured the wires inside the connector.
A few tips:
- Cut the conductors to a length that is long enough to run through the clamps and make sure the cable insulation enters the connector housing to its stop point as pressure lugs grip the insulation when the locking catch is snapped down over the cables and this securely holds the cables and minimises the chance of the falling out.
- After wiring, always check polarity/terminal orientation matches the light strip, otherwise it won't illuminate.
- Standard solid core wiring is recommended. For thinner non-standard stranded wiring, doubling up the exposed conductors increases thickness for tighter clamping and greater contact area.

A little tough to use. You have to figure out what is front and slide led tape under. Good set of connections (end ,middle,corner)

No need to mess with soldering. They obviously have a limit to where they can be used, but they worked for me and I’m happy with them.

These connectors did not fit or contact the HitLights 8mm 2 conductor strips electrically. The strip might be too thick, but even with trimming the plastic inside the connector it does not make electrical contact to the strips. I tried several of these connectors on several ends of the strips to no avail. Confirmed with multimeter there is no electrical connection to the strip. (non-waterproof strip, yes verified no insulation on top of the solder dabs on the strip). The wire connection works quite well - just use a small screwdriver to push the wire into the clamp. Other people seem to have great success with this connector but they do not work at all for me with HitLights LED strips.

Product suited its use in separating two sections of a long LED strip, and connecting them up with a piece of figure 8 wire, so as to keep the upper shelf and lower shelf lit up with the same power source.
