The extension wand has a plastic nut that is supposed to screw onto the side metal adapter of the grinding wheel. The nut cross threads due to the threading on the metal adapter not being done properly. The manufacturer need to properly thread the adapter and change the wand nut to a metal nut. Until this is done I suggest not buying this item if you need to use the wand attachment. I haven't had a chance to try the rest of the units operation

This thing is awesome, I’ve only had it for 1 day though. So I can’t speak on longevity. I use an 8 inch bench grinder at work, so my expectations were low, I mostly bought this thing for the dremel style wand it comes with. It works amazingly! I didn’t expect it to have the kind of power it does. To be so small it really packs a punch. The rpm knob is great, and works flawlessly. You can put a ton of pressure on the grind rock, and the motor won’t stall out so that’s fantastic. That was one of my concerns when I seen it. I don’t imagine the longevity of the wand is going to be great though. The tiny square spindle inside the wand connector, has to be lined up just perfectly when you connect it back from being disconnected. I’m going to just make a box for it to mount in when I’m not using the wand, that way I never have to disconnect it. Other than that, thing seems like a little beast. Definitely super cool. Even comes with an extra set of brushes and springs for the motor once they wear out.

The on or off knob does not regulate the rpm's. It only has one speed no matter how much you play with the rpm knob.

This is a nice / small bench top grinder for general home DIY / repair needs. Obviously since it's small you have a smaller working area with the smaller wheel, But if you need to sharpen edges on a scraper, knives, clean up rusty hand held tools this will get the job done. The flexible shaft allows you to bring the grinding, polishing down to the smallest of levels, especially if you are without a dremel sort of hand-held tool. The variable speed knob will run you from lo to high speed, but it seems to have a lot of play as you turn to adjust. I. use a clamp to lock it to the bench top, and the small footprint is perfect for storing storing on the shelf until needed.

Works well,runs very balanced and smooth. Didn’t lose much speed while grinding and wire wheeling. Would recommend
