We purchased these for our newly remodeled home. We wanted something clean, modern, and easy to install and this was exactly that. They work perfectly and fit wonderfully into our home without constant beeping or interruptions. It is sensitive, but not so much that it picks up the tiniest little thing. We will definitely be purchasing again!

I guess you get what you pay for. We bought this kit about one year ago and right out of the box, 1 was malfunctioning (alarming constantly as soon as the battery was connected). 1 year later, and only 1 of the detectors is still functional. 1 gave us a false alarm for CO detection about three months ago and the fire department had to come out and confirm our house was safe. The other started giving off a weird static noise which didn’t resolve with a new battery about a week ago. So now we are buying higher quality detectors to replace all of these. Should’ve just bought the better brands in the first place.

It takes a minute for the smoke to actually make it beep but it works. I took a rolled up piece of paper while my son followed me with a bowl of water (initially tried with a lighter and incense, those won't work). I lit the end of the paper and blew it out and just held it right under each smoke detector and all of them eventually started beeping, then just used the bowl as an ashtray/fire extinguisher when I was done.Not the loudest I've ever heard but definitely loud enough. Can't comment on battery life either as I've only had these installed for a couple of weeks now but at least they actually come with batteries which was nice to have.I still have about 1 or 2 detectors that need to be replaced as they look like they're from the 70's and aren't even white anymore so I'm probably gonna eventually buy a 3 pack of these to replace the old ones so they all match.Again I can't comment on the carbon monoxide part, but the smoke part works great and the price is fine. Plus they come with the screws and anchors so all you really need is a drill/screwdriver
