Purchased to extend portable generator to a GenerLink hookup at my electric meter, the Generlink only came with a 20 foot cable. This gave me an extra 75 feet so I could run my Generac 5500 watt on my driveway as required in my town. After hurricane Milton was without power for 2 days. This cable aloud me to run my whole house, minus central AC, I could even run my water heater, by balancing the load at the breaker panel.

Overall the cord seems okay but it isn't as heavy duty as others. The jacket is clearly thinner than another one that I bought and the ratings are printed on (and printed poorly where several places have missing lettering) instead of being embossed. I like that it only weighs a little over 10lbs for the 50ft tt-30 cord where the other one I bought was over 14lbs.I do wonder about the durability and rating on this cord given that the jacket is thin. I can see the twists in the wires through it like I can on my cheaper extension cords. The fact that the rating is printed on and not embossed seems strange and makes me wonder...I think this cord is great if cord weight flexibility are important otherwise I think there are better heavy duty options. For my EV charging application I will be using a different cord.

I bought this because the other was too short. I found the cord quality to be great in this and the value for my money. But I needed the extra length for my plug in here at the house.

I got this to change my Tesla with the Mobile Connector using my Dryer Outlet instead of installing an official charger. My dryer outlet was a NEMA 14-30P so I also needed a Y Splitter with a NEMA 14-50P side. So the most I would pull is 30 amps (24 amps actually) so this cable will have no problem with it. It work well enough in testing BUT I have not tried it for that long since I currently have free supercharging.
