This adapter enabled us to charge our EV at an old home that only had a 30A dryer plug available. Worked great and never got warm! (Make sure to de-rate your charger appropriately!)

This adapter does not provide proper neutral (W) from the 14-50R to the 10-30P, it's open. There is X(P)-X(R), Y(P)-Y(R), and W(P)-G(R) connectivity, but on the 14-50R the W (neutral) is open. As long as you're aware of this and know that this product will safely meet your needs then this is a great adapter cord. The large gauge wire should carry a lot of current. The plug and receptacle are solidly molded to the cord, but there is no strain relief on either. The cord is UL listed 8 AWG 3 conductor STW so zero complaints there. Again, this is all solidly constructed and very well made, it's just not magic.
