About this item

  • This is a special version of the 15x1 for embroidery and decorative stitching. It is made to higher standards for longer life.
  • It has an oversize eye to reduce stress and tension on the thread. It also accommodates metallic threads for heavier top stitching thread and makes needle threading easier.
  • Ball Point needles are used for sewing on knits; the rounded tip allows the needle to pass between the fabric threads by separating them.

Got this for embroidering on t-shirts. Have done 2 shirts so far and it's worked well for me. Did break one already when my thread got stuck and I didn't notice in time, so may not have ordered enough. Ballpoint needles are recommended over sharps for knits. Hard for me to tell if the thread hole eye is actually any larger.

I embroider a lot and break needles so getting a quantity is my best option . Nice strong needles.
