This was an excellent replacement for the mail end of my RV cord. My old cord was showing signs of heat and was melted on the hot leg. This cord retrofitted easily and works well. I like the handle built into the end.

This plug is very well made and should last the lifetime of any camping trailer or smaller RVs that use 30A, 120v power systems. It provides an excellent sealed strain relief the 10-3 electrical cable. The package is well sealed and the loop on the back makes disengagement very easy!Before starting to assemble, be sure to wipe a little liquid soap inside the separate strain relief seal, prior to slipping over the power cable. You will not be able to slip this part far enough over the cable without the soap for lubrication. The brass terminals are good quality. All of the terminals can be flipped in 2 directions for insertion. However, they really only will fit correctly in only one direction. When you disassemble, be sure to pay attention as to how they are oriented. Which position is for the white and the black wire isn't obvious. However the is a small capital W and B on the inner back side of the body. The best way to connect the leads to the connectors is to split the strands into 2 separate groups and then slip then between the connector and the clamping plate, with ½ on each side of the screw. There us adequate room to fold some extra length inside the body when closing it up. Once the two halves are fastened together, this assembly should be very well sealed.The loop for pulling the connector out will keep the typical box cover from fully closing. I don't think this really any issue, because the lid at a slight angle should still keep any rain from reaching the plug and receptacle.

Well made, but I needed to shim the 12 ga cable I used where the plug clamps on cable to make sure is was a secure fit.

Did what I needed it to do, but it's feels cheap. More than likely replace for a better product. It was funny because I got it for the little grip and that was the part that kept it from going back into my rv so I cut it off, go figure.
