I have a 40 ft, 50-amp 5th wheel and needed a way to connect to power when visiting family with our RV. This adapter was able to power most of my supplies like my work pc, all lights, tv, and electric water heater through their exterior residential 3-prong outlet. Bang for the buck when you need to “moochdockâ€.TIP: before plugging in, make sure all power in your RV is off or it might cause the beaker to flip in my case. I turned the remaining lights and appliances off and plugged it back in and powered up with no issues.

This is a great item. No need to drag a heavy cable out. Just need this adapter and an extension cord.

Product: For the 15M/50F Locking (traditional 120v household plug to typical 50A RV receptacle), the product wires both hot legs to the single 120v line. In other words, ground is ground, neutral is neutral, L1 is 120Vac and L2 is 120Vac, but the voltage across L1 and L2 is 0V (not 240 Vac that would be typical). So plain speak, some RV's put 120V loads on L1 and 120V on L2 to help balance the legs, and this plug will supply 120V to each leg allowing all 120V outlets/equipment to work. Any 240V appliance/equipment will not work with this adapter, even though both hot legs are energized. I'd caution against pulling too much power off this adapter, but usually a CB should trip if too much power is pulled. Product is safe if you are aware of the power/amps you are pulling through it.

Have a new camper??? That ridiculous long cord that you have to use- with adapters, is no more!! We have burned through handfuls of adapters in our years of camping adventures. With this purchase being our newest favorite, I have to share our thoughts. This is used for our everyday use now. We have rv parking at home, so we have our trailer always plugged in. When we camp, (which is often) we use a generator for power. This replaced our stupid mess for power cords and adapters! We haven’t had this for very long, so there is no way to say it’s perfect. Just as an experienced camper, I suggest always having a backup one or two.

I use this when I have the camper parked at home and just want to have a little shore power to it. The only problem with this is the keeper ring won't tighten on my Jayco camper. It's almost like it's a different thread.

My husband asked me to buy this during prime day (it was not on deal) so I did. When we got home from the next camping trip, he asked me to grab it and I realized it was so we didn’t have to lug out the 25ft cord we use when camping. He was so happy to be able to leave the big one packed, worth every penny.
