For my fellow back yard woodsmen and women this tool is outstanding in all areas of wood splitting. You will never want to go back to using a sledge and wedge system again. The engineering on this axe is outstanding in terms of balance, ease of use, light weight and effectiveness on every strike. Just finished splitting red oak and it worked great. A must have tool!

I had it for a year now it works great for splitting wood but i would use the hammer side to strike a spliting wedge and it caused it to break loose and the head came off

I liked the balance of this product. I bought in February of 2022 I used it 3 maybe for times then put away for the year, until December of 2022. I got it out to split some wood I swung it a few times and noticed the head is breaking off. The handle is cracked just where the handle and steel meet. Definitely not worth the money for 5 uses.

The maul arrived on a Sunday and I put it to work that afternoon.The handle has excellent grip shape and the maul is well balanced. I haven’t split wood in several years but was quickly splitting large freshly cut oak logs. I can’t vouch for long term lifespan of the maul but so far so good.

Axe does not come with a pro level sharpness... Actually, it was somewhat dull....
