I am using this 5/8 inch SDS bit for starter holes in a concrete wall, this gets followed up by a larger bit. This bit cuts fast and clean and shows no wear although I’ve only used it for one hole so far. I have several other bits of this type and have had great results with all of them, they cut good and extract the dust better than standard concrete bits.

25/32 (and it actually seems to be based on my measurements), but I often need holes that are minimum of 3/4" in sandstone but a little larger is not bad and 7/8 works out initially to be just a hair too large. These metric measurements (20mm) may be standard outside of the US, but if you need something that matches English measurements more closely you need to consider carefully.Sandstone is so abrasive that even carbide will lose diameter quickly so 3/4" drills (bits for you non-machinists out there) and become too small, and 7/8" after a few holes start working ok as they lose diameter. So 25/32 actually works out ok for my particular purpose. The drill itself is well made and the carbide inserts are brazed in cleanly. I drilled a couple of holes in the sandstone I am working in and it held up just fine. I've never seen the dust collection bags before, but it came with two of them. I'm not sure how well the adhesive would work on anything but fairly smooth surfaces, but it worked ok on smooth concrete and seemed to be a neat idea.

Ordered the 3/4 x 15-inch SDS Max Rotary Hammer Drill Bit to use on a cinder block wall to run Cat6e cable. The bit seems to be well made and handled the job with ease. I drilled 4 different holes and the bit was just as sharp on the last hole as it was on the first hole. Functionality and price make this drill bit a great value. Very happy with the SDS Max Rotary Hammer Drill Bit from Grixlen!

I got the 10mm size. It is NOT "20 inches long".The bit arrived in a reusable plastic tube and in good condition. The machining is a tad rough compared to the same size name brand bits that cost 3 times more money but it's a good fit in either of my SDS MAX ritary hammer drills and makes great holes. The overall length measured 15 inches, not the described "20 inches". The actual 'drilling' part is only 9 inches long so if you plan on drilling something deeper than 9" - look for a different bit.The quad cutting edges do a good job as does the double flutes for removing material from the hole. No complaints there.I have deducted a star for the goofed up description. Not a bad drill bit for a decent price. Glad I got it.
