We’ve tried multiple methods for storing avocados and this is by far the easiest, lowest waste, and best way to store them. My first one lasted for years before the strap became worn down and snapped, leading me to buy another. The cutting tool is cool, but I could probably do without.

This set looked super gimmicky, but I had a good feeling about it. I am fairly new to a vegetarian diet, and I have been enjoying a lot of avocados, so I wanted a way to save them better. That’s how I found this set.The keeper works great, even though the bondage strap is hilarious. I splash a bit of lemon juice over the avocado half with the seed left in before strapping it in, and that works great for a day or two. That’s not the main story though…I mostly discounted the knife when I ordered this, though I wanted to give it a try. How hard is it with just a regular knife, though? Turns out it could be a lot easier! I have been completely amazed at how effective this thing is at prepping an 🥑. It is literally just seconds to cut, seed, and slice an avocado, with minimal effort and mess, and zero risk of getting cut. My friends are skeptical, so I am working on getting a good video of it in action. Take my word for it though. 😅

The tool really doesn't do the job. Don't bother. I REALLY wanted it to work but it just doesn't. On the other hand, the avocado keeper works great! No black junk and it stays put until you're ready to use the other half. It seems to work with all different sizes of avocado, so a win. Easy to clean and simple to use. A great avocado saver. Just forget about the tool. It really is useless

What I like about this product:- Don't need a knife to open an avocado, the tumba finger works well for it.- Easy to get the avo sliced quicker for those waffle avocado toasts!! Yum yum- Easy to separate the seed!!- Holds the half avocado left in place.What I dislike Dislike:- Not meant for huge avocado size to take out the seed.- Avocado holder don't keep the avocado fresh for more than a day in the fridge, unless I am doing something wrong.- Need a pretty good grip on the slicer to go completely through it.

I've had this for quite some time but only just got around to using the slicing tool. It's pretty ingenious. The "thumb" does a great job of slicing through the avocado skin. The sharp metal circle then grabs the pit and with a slight twist pulls it out easily and much more safely than stabbing it with a knife and much less messily than digging it out with a spoon. I didn't actually use the slicer to slice since I was making guacamole, but it worked great to clean the avocado out of the skin. I assume you would have to remove the skin in order to be able to use the slicer to get slices.

I had the same avocado keeper for years. It was ancient. I loved it - and it finally broke at the little sizing notches. I make food for one - and may use a third or half an avocado at a time. This was the perfect keeper. Maybe 15 years old. I know I have had it forever.....and couldn't find another like it - until it popped up on Amazon. I had searched Amazon, trust me. BUT, I ordered another type. AWFUL, too big. THIS ONE IS PERFECT. It is even by the same maker! I got a couple of others for Christmas gifts. Love this. I haven't tried the cutter yet. That looks like a real time-saver.

The avocado saver works great. The additional gadget that came with it is useless. I only bought it because my avocado saver wasn’t sold separately and it was worth the extra cost to get it.
