Excellent product and fits big heads great! Very comfy and you almost forget you have them on. The padded inside earcups is a plus ,but if you fall asleep with them on you may get an ear ache because the insert pads over the speakers are a little too thin. So here's my rec. Get you a Wrap-a-nap. And if your not using it from your eyes and ears, use it for your head. That is lay your earmuffed noggin in the middle of the wrap-a-nap and it provides a cushion around the muffed Ear.( That is if your a nut like me and wear them to bed) if you lie on your side. Also for added extra comfort, get some camel back HY80A gel Sealing Rings. They provide extra comfort and block a little more noise than the standard cushions. The wireless version is pretty neat in that it has Bluetooth, and a micro USB port along with 3.5 Jack outlet . If you go with the Jack you have to cut the Bluetooth off and unlike the wired headset you have to power up the wireless to use the 3.5 outlet being there is a function for it on the AM/FM button. The wired you can just plug your phone or mp3 and turn it up by the device volume.Update 4/12/16 Also, the stereo sound is way better than the communications headsets in some cases.Update 4/30/16 Keep in mind the newest Wired work tunes are not digital and the Tekk logo is no longer under the 3M logo. They are better than they ever were .Update 5/1/16 Purchased both Wired and Wireless sets for McKenzie Westmore-Tatopoulos. She seems pretty ecstatic to get them.Update, 12/26/16 back in October gave away several older models and finally bought a pair of the first set they ever came out with. Just recently bought a set for a lady under me at work and she loves hers . Haven't yet to see the celebrity with hers on yet, although she said she loves them and wore them.Update 9/3/17 Bought these yet again...( I must be crazy) and a Bluetooth set at an outstanding price on eBay and gave some away. Always falling back on these when I have the money and I see someone who can't afford them needs a set for outside chores , work , home, pleasure etc.One way to give God the glory...I literally lost count how many sets I've had.Update 11/17/18 Not able to get as many as I have...I'm more of a WorkTunes Connect guy now. Also waiting on the upgrade of the 90542, the wireless bluetooth, (Black and Gray earmuffs) which will put them on par with the Worktunes Connect, having Hi Fi speakers and receiving calls. a combination of all the WorkTunes in one.Can hardly wait til black friday.6/19/22.3M has done better... But the padded headband that Zohan and Prohear have is a copy of the 3M WorkTunes that old on the Regular , non Bluetooth version. They need to put it back on the connect versions even if an option like they do with the gels... which is a great improvement by 3M. Also to get rid of ear pain , and I've seen a lot of reviews on this...it's really easy to go to your auto parts store and get a Sheepskin seatbelt cover, find the softest one you think your like and cut it to fit in the ear cup ( pop it out, it's easy with a butter knife) and put the Sheepskin in. The ear pain won't be there and your ears will be pretty comfy, and no sound changes ...that I can tell anyway. Actually feels very nice. If you work outside in the heat, well they may get warm on you, so just depends...but you can always have them on standby. The gels allow more room for your ears and that added with sheet "fleece" makes a very comfortable headphone earmuff. I used Sherpa fleece but I find Sheepskin with it's healing properties is far better. A thin soft medical Sheepskin would likely be better for your inserts if any cuts or Knicks on your ears or soreness. Does great for me, but we are all picky about one thing or another.

I have been using ear protection with FM/AM radio for years. I am 65, and I have been using them since they became available. I use them when I cut the yard, chainsaw, use loud power tools, etc. I have always bought the standard radio headphones like you buy at Home Depot and Lowes, and I have never liked them. But I thought that what was only available.NOT ANYMOREI just received the 3M WorkTunes Connect + AM/FM Hearing Protector and immediately tried them out while I cut my lawn. These headphones are as advertised and the best radio headphones I have tried thus far.The 3 M WorkTunes Connect + AM/FM Hearing Protector provides clear, crisp sound and excellent channel reception. The sound protection is not only effective but also incredibly comfortable. Unlike my older headphones, these allow me to enjoy a constant and clear FM radio channel as I move around the yard, ensuring a comfortable listening experience.I highly recommend the 3M WorkTunes Connect + AM/FM Hearing Protector.

I've had these for about 3 and a half months. Have used them a ton since I got them, running power equipment at work (string trimmers and tractors mostly). I wish I had gotten these years ago, they really make the time fly by. Nothing more mind-numbing than running a string trimmer for 8 hours straight listening to nothing but the thoughts in your own head. Thanks to these muffs I've listened to a dozen or so audiobooks and countless hours of podcasts while I'm working.I rarely listen to the radio on these. I work in pretty rural areas, radio reception can be spotty. The radio works OK in areas where reception is good. Only complaint is that it's a bit too easy to accidentally change channels or delete presets. The tuner knob also fell off when I tossed the muffs in the back of my truck. If I can find it should be easy enough to put back on. Can still tune it, just a bit harder now. Overall, though, they are solidly built, definitely not cheap plastic junk. They can be a bit uncomfortable after a few hours. I never wore muffs before I got these, always used ear plugs, so not sure if the uncomfortableness is due to the design of these muffs in particular. They clamp on the ears fairly tightly---probably necessary to dampen noise, but the pressure can be uncomfortable after a while. Not that big of a deal. Ear plugs can also be uncomfortable when wearing them all day. These also dampen noise much better than ear plugs, and are easier to put on and take off.Batteries seem to last almost indefinitely when listening to my smartphone, less so when listening to the radio, but still a long time. Main problem has been accidentally leaving them on when I'm done working. I think these are supposed to automatically turn off after a while, but I've had the batteries drain a couple times after leaving them on accidentally. I use rechargeables, so not that big of a deal. I always carry spare batteries in my truck when I'm out in the field. All told, these are well worth the price. I'm pretty hard on my gear and will undoubtedly eventually destroy these. I'll buy another pair when I do.

Better than expected! Excellent buy for the price!I was looking for something for bus and (especially) airplane rides. I find my ears numbed by noisy engines - particularly on the small planes - and figure I'm better safe than sorry.I have a more expensive pair of noise blocking headphones and wish I'd found these first. These cushions fit better over my ears (I have trouble finding a good fit) which makes the noise blocking is more effective. I didn't want blutooth or any fancy features - I use the other pair every day and they get beat up in transit - so was looking for a price point where I could afford to buy a new pair.First impressions are that they are sturdy, comfortable, and do a good job blocking outside noise. They greatly reduce engine noise when you are sitting over the wing, and listening to the news during bus rides is handy. For practicality, these get full points.I can't speak to power consumption but a fully charged set of AAs have lasted over 24 hours and, honestly, that will probably depend on the type and age of the batteries. What I do like is that they use AA batteries that can be replaced easily and you can carry spares to swap out if you run out of power on the road. Unlike devices with built-in batteries, these might still be usable 3 years from now. Not really fair comparing these to ipods, but these have some serious advantages.Furthermore, they have detachable cables to reduce clutter (I replaced the one that came with it for a retractable pair), and well mounted radio controls that can be reached without having to take them off. Some folks have complained about the tuner. I thought it was good - you turn the knob and a voice reads out the current frequency. If you are far off the station that you want, give it a few full turns; if you are close to the station that you want, just give it a few clicks. One unexpected bonus - they are pretty warm while standing at the bus stop on 5C mornings. That may backfire in the summer but since we are moving towards winter, I'm looking forward to using them as earmuffs! Two complaints:1) if you plug anything into the headphone jack, the radio switches over - even if you turn off the player. It would be better if the "MODE" button let you toggle between sources. Having to disconnect and store the headphone cable somewhere is a nuisance.2) The yellow colour works great if you are in construction, but is a bit too visible for casual day wear. Some styling other colour options (even plain black or grey) would open these up to a wider market.Overall, these fit my needs and price point really well. Unless they turn out to break easily or stop working for no reason, I'll give these 5 stars!

This is the third pair I have owned, and use them all day every day. Fantastic value for money. I have a dairy farm and would not be without them. ðŸ‘

Does what it says on the box, and very well. The hearing protection is extremely clever. For instance-- you'll have instant feedback if your surrounding are too loud as you won't be able to comfortably hear the music. You can easily skim stations by twisting a knob-- after a long delay, the computer reads you the frequency. When you plug in an MP3 player, it manages the audio level to keep it at safe levels (even when switched off). There's no way to turn this off-- which is probably for the best if you're handing these out to employees etc, or are just forgetful like I am. The volume control doesn't do much in MP3 player mode. It would be nice if you could modify the volume, but ultimately, you can do this just as easily from the cellphone or player and it does prevent confusion. The only real con is the lack of bass response-- now this bothers me as an audiophile, but I can't really take any points off because when you're actually using the things for their intended function (operating compressors, power tools and such), the bass notes would be impossible to hear anyways. The sound is not unpleasant, and would be great for audiobooks or casual listening. Ultimately, its going to inherently sound better than any work-site radio anyways. FM reception seems pretty respectable (in Toronto). In my limited experience, the hearing protection is quite good for the rating. And that's with long hair and glasses.
