I've used a number of these motor drivers over the years for small CNC machines, and 3D Printer. They are basic, cheap, and work!

At the voltage and load suggested driving one stepper they lasted maybe a day of moderate use until they failed. One of the three was doa and the heatsinks fall off when the heat destroys the non thermal glue/tape stuck to them. I used some arctic paste instead on the two I think they still deteriorated and failed from heat.

Well, these stepper motors right out of the gate worked really nicely, however, over the span of a week they started to fail. In testing deeper, it would appear to be a possible overheating issue with the boards whereby they're not dissipating heat well enough which causes the failure. When I don't push them very hard they work well. This can likely be solved with additional heat sinks and fans but there are other options which work much better and do not fail so easily.

8825 driver chips are more efficient and almost silent in operation. Lots of software-enabled features. Perfect for Arduino projects that need to operate stepper motors. May be a drop in replacement for many economy modules, but be sure to compare pinouts for compatibility.

Do not buy the DiGiYes brand. The circuit is not made properly and it does not function. Buy the Pololu brand instead if you want something that actually works.

Funcionan correctamente, esperemos no se descompongan rápidamente.
