I got these airlocks at the same time I ordered the drill bit/grommet set from this company so that I could make my own fermentation containers. I had a lot of large jars and food safe buckets so this is a good way to be able to convert the containers you already have to be used in fermentation; we make mead. I have always used this type of airlock and these are nice quality in line with others that I have used. They are not flimsy plastic and came packaged as four complete airlock sets and had no broken pieces. If you are looking for some airlocks to use for fermentation and wine, beer or mead making, these are a good option.

These didn't fit my bottles, sadly, but I'm going to try to rig them to fit somehow. I think they look like they'll function well, so I'm looking forward to that when fermenting my kombucha. The plastic, however, does feel a little thin and fragile. I mean, they're pretty stationary while in use, so perhaps don't need to be super durable, but my first impression was that the plastic was of kind of questionable quality. Might not matter.

I used to do a bunch of homebrewing years ago, and am just now getting back into it, so I've been picking up and experimenting with various products, both for alcohol production and pickling and fermenting the veggies from my garden.Only used one from this pack so far, to try it out, and it worked well for a batch of lacto-fermented hot sauce made with homegrown peppers. Zero problems at all. There's a kit from this company that lets you install airlock ports in anything, and I'm about to set some of these up in 5-gallon buckets. I'm excited.

One of the airlocks broke while I was inserting it into the stopper. Very thin plastic.

I used these airlocks while fermenting some pine cone syrup as a fun project. They worked great, and the syrups all turned out well. Would order again

These are so good. They're heavy duty, good, clear plastic, and work beautifully. I absolutely love these and will be buying more of them.

I typically use the Pasteur style S-tube airlocks. I have wanted to try this type of gaslock for a long time now, and decided to take the plunge, since I needed a couple more to replace some of my S-tubes that were just old or broken. I am a little concerned that these may be noisier during aggressive stages of fermentation, due to their design, but that remains to be seen.

This is a typical 3-piece airlock. It contains the main airlock that has a tube through the middle of a larger tube. The second piece lays on top of the inner tube to gas out any pressure build up in your fermenter. The Final piece is the cap that sits on top. This is a fairly simple and standard setup for an airlock. My major issue with the product was that the description said it was a four pack, but there were only 2 airlocks in the bag. Where did the other 2 go?
