I breed brahma large fowl and I have some pens i use for conditioning and breeding. I feed a specific regimen on a daily basis so I don't need/use gravity feeders. This is the perfect size for 1-2 adults, allows the sorting behavior but doesn't allow them to pull it out! Yes, a pellet here and there but less than 3% waste in my estimate. And plenty of space for them to get in there. Also works for my Old English Game Bantams.

I've had these for about a year and I keep buying more (because, quail math). They work well and have lasted without any issues.If I could change things, I would have clips on the front side of the dishes so that they could be clipped to the outside of the cages. I zip tie mine in place, but would rather if they clipped. And, secondly, if the sides were higher and maybe if they had a little hood just because quail throw out so much food and waste it!But, overall, these are the best of the ones I've tried.

Quail get inside it and poop in the food, might work for chickens but requires modification to use with quail

These feeders produced less waste than your typical chick feeders, and were easier to use. They aren’t completely no-waste though, because the quail will sift through the feeder and still end up knocking feed out. Still a better option.

I have these in all my bird cages and they are great with holding food. My birds have no problem with them at all I have bought these twice so far. Chicken Math is a real thing..

I got this for quail and attach it to their aviary. It’s a 4x8 dog kennel, predator proofed on the outside. I use these for both food and water. They work great. My girls will lift the cups off the second the get low (these are a little harder for them to pull off) but if you struggle with this issue use metal clothes pins to secure them on. Easy to take off for cleaning
