Has worked as a pattern bit on some softwood projects - adirondack rocking chairs. Needed the top and bottom bearings on different pieces, which is why I picked these. Don't know that they'd last in a daily shop and haven't yet tried them on hardwood.

The quality of the blade is complete crap, we used it to cut OSB and it's smoking already after the 5th use. Definitely not a carbide blade.

These worked really well on solid cherry with no burning and nice clean cuts. I strongly recommend using a router table for pattern cutting especially with the longer bits. I tried a hand held router and there is just too much movement no matter how careful. Doing it on a router table worked perfectly. These bits are nicely packaged in reusable plastic containers. Good value.

I needed the bit for an arm chair that I am building. Before doing the arms, I tried it on 1 1/2" piece of very hard wood and the results are fantastic.

The guide wheel screw flew off in the middle of a project, this loosing the bearings and guide wheel. It's probably an ok product if you don't use it every day. : (
