Suggest piercing the IP20 RGB light strip from the front of the light strip

If you accidentally cover the connector, you can use a screwdriver to pry it off.
Install:

2.Open the wire end cover with an opener
3.Insert the wires into the wire holes respectivel
4.Close the cover with a plier

1.Cut the length of light strip you need
2.Open the strip end cover with an opener

4.Close the cover with a plier

Worked great for adding led strip lights to an ikea cabinet. These connectors worked better then the connectors supplied with the light kit.

LED strip light side does not snap closed all the way. When locked, it wiggles giving the strips inconsistent voltage. This causes them to flicker, be dim, and not work in some cases. I tried to use plyers to squeeze them a little tighter in case my hand wasn’t enough and they shatter. So, the product is flawed and does not seat as it should.

The middle wire slots slide in pretty easy, but the two outside slots bind up and don't slide in as well. So for RGBw, the white and black connection is less good. Then the tape side clamp down is only decent. Tried it on waterproof tape and the extra thickness and meat of the waterproof layer help with bite. On plain tape, it doesn't get a good hold so you get flicker and inconsistent color.

Good lord ci trying to open them once snapped. Getting the strip out of them damaged the connections causing to have to continually cut the strip back. I made many jumpers and none worked.

My LED strip was 10 mm wide; it fit exactly into the clip and the metal teeth were properly spaced. Stays locked well.
