Buy these chain links for my mini bike. Use for a 40 chain with a Predator 212 motor. I often buy to have for extras or as needed

Maybe it's me, but the snap-on pins (locking plates) these connectors use are all but impossible to get on or off. It seems to me they could have made the tolerances a little less tight (i.e. the part of the pin that is split should have a slight V-notch taken out rather than just a cut). I looked up YT videos to see how people managed to get them on. Most push them on with a flathead but I had zero luck with that. Trying to get purchase on any edges with needlenose was also a lesson in patience... and once a pair of channel locks placed just right did the job. But no method worked twice (had to make three chains) and I spent more time trying to get the pins snapped on than I did on the entire rest of the job. One pin took me nearly an hour. The connectors seem well made otherwise, and fit the #40 PGN chain, and I'm confident they will never come off, but if I had to buy connectors again, I'd look for pins that are made to be friendlier to get on/off before I'd purchase these again.
