Reliable Rivet Gun for Plastic Rivets

Operating steps:
Step 1 - Select a compatible plastic blind rivet head based on the size of the rivet hole.
Step 2 - Make the rivet in place.
Step 3 - Squeeze the rivet gun handles together a few times.
Step 4 - Once it goes fully tight, you can snap the rivet mandrel off.
Step 5 - Separate the handles on both sides so as to release the broken rivet mandrel.

Has worked just fine. Sometimes leaves a bit of the post sticking out, but those happen and are easy to cut off.

Bought to change the hood trim on my Dodge Challenger, worked like a charm and even had the perfect fit 15.8 rivets for the job. Zero to complain about.

I'm glad it worked for others, and maybe will work just as well for more people, but count me among those who found it difficult/impossible to use. Setting (or trying to set) a fastener takes inordinate force, at least to me (and I'm not puny), and the fasteners are made of such stiff plastic that they're as likely to snap as pop into place. Also, all the other stock fasteners I found have thicker stems, so the tool can't be used for other sizes or styles of fasteners other than the small selection that comes in this set. I don't disbelieve the reviewers who say the gun works easily for them; I just wish I was one of them.

Only works with the plastic rivets it comes with most of the time. Sometimes they get stuck inside the gun after you squeeze it and they break from the rivet on the fender. The black post it Clips off the rivet gets stuck inside the gun and then you have to completely disassemble the gun just to get the rivet stud out. Don't even try using rivets on Amazon other than what comes with the kit. Somehow those studs are a slight centimeter thicker and every time you use it they get stuck in the gun. At this point I am not sure what to even order that will work anymore. I've used up everything that comes with the kit. I'm in the search for a better gun that works more Universal for plastic rivets not sure I will use this anymore in the future

After buying it understand the bad reviews.- 5 star for tool quality, made of really good metal and sturdy.Make sure you use some WD40 oil on the business side of the tool before using it.- 1 star for the functionality. The rivets don't lock in, it takes a lot of tries to get them to lock in, but in the end they finally will. Like i said, make sure you lube the tool this will help locking them in.Once the rivets finally lock in, they are in for good. Really hard to geat out after they snap and sometimes you need to dismantle the tool.My recomandation: use the tool only to tighen the rivets, remove the tool without snapping the tail, and after use some a cutter or pliers to cu the tail. At least that worked for me.The tool is definetly usable once you figure out what works best for you.

Purchased purely to fit BMW trim parts and it did it's job admirably.Quite tough to use but just flex your muscles a bit and it snaps the rivets in place lovely.

Die Nietzange macht was sie soll. Für Hobby-Schrauber vollkommend ausreichend und zweckmäßig. Massive Ausführung, liegt gut in der Hand. Das "Verpressen" der Kunststoffnieten erfolgt reibungslos. Für hier und da ein Kunststoffteil am PKW zu befestigen etc. ein vernünftiger Kauf.
