This tool works perfectly fine. It's better quality than that yellow competitor brand and it offers so much more. It cost a fraction of many other rivet guns and it comes with a variety of rivets to choose from. You don't really have to buy more pop-it rivets if you don't need to, the rivets it comes with are aluminum type and work just like any other rivets from a hardware store. I was able to use this right out of the box so it really saved me a lot of time.

The rivet got stuck in the mandrel on the first test use. It also looked like they sent me a used tool, with some of the rivets in sealed bags and some in zipper bags in an opened and taped back up envelope. Still, it's a simple machine and I didn't want to wait 2 more days to use it so I took the spring retainer out, realigned the jaws, reinserted everything carefully to ensure it was all aligned, and successfully riveted the next 5 rivets to finish reattaching my drawer slides to my tool box. 1x use for me probably, so still worth it for the low price, but if I was doing a lot of rivets, if want one that doeant stick and that ejects the nail.

This rivet gun is the lowest quality. The hinge pin is held in by a c-clip that falls out during use. It doesn't hold rivets. The internal mechanism isn't strong enough to pull the rivets. The handles are too weak, so they flex rather than applying force to the rivets. The wrench in the handle is a cute idea but falls out immediately during use.

The gun quit grabbing the tail of the rivets by the fourth rivet. It’s cheaper than setup for bucking MS 20470 rivets, but I expect a tool/system to perform the job it’s designed and advertised for, more than 3-4 times before failure.
