Fit perfectly. Works as expected. I like the fact that you can change the light output. Not using the dimming function so I can't comment on that. Make sure you measure the spacing betweeen the screws.

This light is brighter than the one that came with the fan, although I do not know what the rating of the previous one was. Or how this compares to other lights available on Amazon.I will say again this one seems as bright as they say it is and is what I was expecting. It was extremely easy to put together. Came with everything needed, gave you two options for the mounting whether you want to use magnets or you can permanently mount it with the screws from your previous light. The electrical wire quick connector seems to work just fine as well. This unit does dim just fine, I saw very little mention of it but it does seem to work with at least the dimmer built into my fan, I don't necessarily see why it wouldn't work with any dimmer that is compatible with LEDs in general.

It worked ok for a month, now has a bright flash every ten minutes or so, extremely annoying, and unsure if it is safe.

Saved my ceiling fan. My fan had a failing light assembly in it. After doing some research I located this assembly which matched almost perfectly to my fan. I was able to swap it out and restore a functional light without having to replace the whole fan.

I don't know what brand / model this 56 inch diameter ceiling fan is, but this LED light unit works in it! I have had this fan for at least 18 years, and like it. Partly because it is as close to the ceiling as you can get and still be able to carry out the mounting and wiring process...But the light last for only 5 or 6 years...I will call the actual LED light part the "LED." The light unit just unscrews. The light unit sits on a metal base that has fins for heat dissipation. The light unit originally plugged in with a small wire connector plug. The original LED had 3 plastic plugs that fit into slots on that metal plate. There is not a lot of room up there for wire connectors. The last time around, I searched by a model number on the old LED to find the same exact one - LED with same plastic plugs, and same wiring connector. This time around, I cannot find that...So I got this one, which is the same, except it does not have plastic plugs and has bare wires instead of wires in matched connector plug...To connect LED to metal mount/heat dissipator plate, I got very small screws from hardware store. Plus matching nut, and a matching lock washer. I believe the vibrations of ceiling fan might loosen the nut over time, so I used a lock washer. To get the right size, I brought the entire thing to the hardware store with me! This is easier than trying to describe all of this!I also bought 2 kinds of wire connectors, not sure what would fit in the space. Both were too big. With a lot of work and juggling, I think one style might have worked. But it is hard with your arms up there for so long! So, I joined wires the old-fashioned way: twisted together (there was black, and white, on both sides!), then electrical-taped well. This has to be done right, because the wire touching the metal will short out the connection very well. Of course, I had to cut the connector thing from the 2 wires coming out of the ceiling fan, so that I would have bare wires on both ends. With well-joined connections, the LED could hang there as I positioned everything. It twisted right back into place. My main points are this: if your fan has an LED that has plugs or something to join LED to mounting plate, you can use this one, if you get the small screws; and, for tight spaces in the light unit you may have to cut off whatever connector was there, and join bare wires. This i snot hard, but has to be done the right way to a have a good connection and b not short out. --I am sure there is info on the web about how to join 2 bare wires with electrical tape.I hope this helps someone!

I purchased these replacements to improve light output for ceiling fan lights. There were a like for like, in place replacement. I suspect the OEM lights were only 12W and these 20W modules are really bright. At least they are very bright before they are placed behind the fan's frosted light cover. The room is brighter but in my opinion, falls short of my expectation. This is not necessarily a fault of these light modules.I remember the old days where ceiling fans had old fashioned screw in light sockets. It made light replacements and upgrades so much easier. All these proprietary solutions may be aesthetically more pleasing but by being proprietary, makes upgrading much more difficult.
