Works well. Just keep in mind that you will need clearance in order to drill the holes on top of the door for the screws.

I like how these are adjustable. I was able to replace the ones in my house (to get ready to sell it) withing a few seconds. It was extremely easy.

Excellent they work better than the originals. I will be buying another set. I’m going to replace all my doors with these. They keep the door snug definitely recommend them.

i have a pair of ball catch-style doors for my office, and the built in door closures failed, launching the ball bearing out. i ordered these to replace the existing hardware, and found it very easy to install once i took out the old pieces. i didn't even need to replace the strike plate, and they function exactly the same.

We used these door catches to replace a number of builder-grade catches that have, as a result of a stupid design, literally ejected the catch ball, the result of which has exceeded expectations. For starters, these catches have a captive top side, which is where the builder-grade catches fail, meaning that these catch balls cannot be ejected, which is a huge design improvement from the builder-grade stuff.Secondly, these catches are adjustable via a height and/or a spring-tension adjustment, which is, again, far superior to builder-grade trash. All in all, given the current stupid-low price of $7.99 for a pack of four for these little jewels, it's really a semi-no-brainer as to their value if you have a need for the same.

These adjustable ball catches are working well as replacements for the original catches that have become "sticky" & difficult to operate. To be clear, I HATE this type door closure. They are noisy & troublesome. Mounted on double-doors of shallow closets & some bathrooms. Painters usually paint over them, so the friction from that overspray starts the friction early. They are made to adjust the depth setting, but most people, installers included, don't even realize that depth can be adjusted. Setting a depth that catches but without too much resistance means the door can operate for quite a while without adjustment or replacement. As long as I've got shallow closets to deal with, I must put up with these ball catches. I find this particular set of four a good value at $7.
