This Dewalt sander is a beast. It must be 7 years old. The foam material in the sanding pad finally just dried out and began to break down. Finally it was toast and a big portion broke off. The replacement pad goes on very easy and it is far more economical to fix it than buy new. Very happy. Works great. I own a commercial wood shop and we work our tools hard.

I got this hook and loop pad for my Dewalt sander. installed without any issues and fit was pretty spot on. My only complaint is that sometimes the hook and loop doesn’t hold the pads on. This is especially true if using in cold weather.

Took about 10 mins to install on a HF sander because you have to drill a slightly larger hole in another position for the HF spacing pattern. Just take your old HF pad off, align it with the new one (spin the new one so you're not drilling in the same location as the holes that are in the new one) and use the old pad as a guide. At the end you'll have 4 new holes (the ones you just drilled using the old pad as a template /guide) that fit your HF sander and 4 holes (wrong spaching for HF sanders_ that were already in the new pad. Tighten the screws and slap a disc on it. At first the disc won't be perfectly flat but after a few minutes of sanding on a scrap piece it'll flatten the pad out. Done.

Doesn't really grip the paper strong enough for continuous professional use. After 5 minutes the paper flies off the pad. I compared it to a different random orbit sander manufacturer and it was no contest. This is junk.
