I purchased this for my 2.6 Amp Corded 5 in. Random Orbital Sander and it was a perfect fit. I didn't compare it to the original pad in detail, but once I installed it, I couldn't really tell a difference between the original and this one. Disc adhesion to the velcro is strong: I probably used about 20-30 discs on it so far and they stick just as strongly as the first use. Half the price of the manufacturer's replacement and works just as well!

I can not speak for other sanders. Fits the Ryobi perfectly. Grips better than the original stock one.

This sanding replacement pad is about 80% similar to the original and is half the price of the Ryobi OEM replacement pad. The two big differences are 1) the original pad is a little thicker and "spongyier"; and 2) the original pad has 4 additional holes to accommodate the dimples in the sander-side plate. I don't think the first difference will affect the performance that much, after all, it's a budget sander anyway, right? For the second issue, I had to drill four 9/64 bit holes in the replacement pad to ensure the two surfaces mated flush.

Had to leave old sanding base on and pull the old pad off then screw the old base and the base and pad on. I did get it to work and works great.

This backing pad fits and works perfectly on my orbital sander. The bolt and vent holes line up well and the sandpaper sticks great. The only difference I can find is that my OEM was green on the back and this one is solid black, otherwise it's very identical to the original and works exactly as expected.

BUT, unfortunately, it's not compatible with my orbit sander. It is my fault though as I should've made sure it's compatible before I ordered it
