Looked like a well built tachometer, until i read the directions and seen there's a gear selector switch and it wasn't there... there's a place for the switch with 4,6,8 next to the empty hole. Bought this for my sand rail, for this weekend (labor day). Its my last trip and i really needed this item to work. What a let down.

Product is ok. Does the job, not that accurate but close enough if you need something to go off of. It’s a little jumpy between 2 and 2.5. But what they don’t tell you in the instructions is that the actual cylinder selector is on the the front buttons. Not the back. Although it says back the reason it’s missing is because you have to press mode button until both recall and set button illuminates and then select your cylinder where the needle lands. So if it’s a 4 cyl your needle needs to be on the 4 if it’s a 6 or an 8 needle has to be in that number. Your welcome! I figured this out by myself. Was messing around with it and every time I chose a different number, idle raises or lowers. Hope this helps

This thing is absolutely a piece of junk. The button on the back to change it from 4 cylinder 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder is completely missing so the tachometer can't even be used and the instructions are terrible. Don't not waste your time on this product or your gonna have to buy a different one anyway.

Worked for a couple runs then stopped working. Needle would stay in the up position when not even on and bounce around when on off.
