I have a drill master sander that the rubber pad ,for lack of a better word, desolved. After cleaning it off with googone I glued the old hook and loop pad to the sander then applied the new interface pad to the sander and it worked

The foam on these is a bit stiffer than the original SurfPrep sanding pads. Because of that, it doesn't break down as quickly, which is nice. BUT, it doesn't get into the grooves and crevices the way the SurfPrep does. These are fine for non-detailed pieces you are sanding. I would still buy the expensive ones if you have detailed projects like I usually work on. It totally sanded the corners off some dentil woodwork I was working on. It still looks ok, just not what I was hoping for.

Didn't seem to make a lot of difference in the function of the sander. It made the sander heat up, prevented the saw dust from getting into the collector and left swirls in the wood.

These allow me to use my sander in the more detailed pieces of my projects with ease. Attach and hold well to the palm sander. For the cost, they are great with no need so far to order the more expensive sander’s out there.
