I use these to make individual portions of salmon on cedar in my smoker - they turn out great.I would not use these on a more traditional BBQ if you're intending to soak them in water to keep them from charring/igniting from a more direct heat. I soaked a dozen for just that purpose, and they split apart overnight. Since they are already fairly small, I couldn't use any of them.

J'utilise depuis des années des planches de cèdre plus grandes et plus épaisses pour griller le saumon. Je les ai achetées pour les soirs où je voulais un petit filet de saumon. Je les ai utilisées 4 fois et à chaque fois, le saumon avait un goût amer. Est-ce vraiment du cèdre ? Je ne les achèterai plus ni ne les utiliserai à nouveau, sauf comme allume-feu pour la cheminée.

I have been using cedar planks for many years. These are not cheap but so so thin. Many ketch on fire. Will never order these again. Too thin.

These boards have a glossy finish. Id prefer them with a rougher finish. I like a little bigger board as their just a little small overall.
