I bought these a little over 2 months ago for my chickens after my original water bucket started leaking (I made it myself the first go around). Happy to say this one has not leaked at all! I can currently only speak on the water bucket as i havent used the food one. Anyways, here's my pros and cons!Pros:.No leaks whatsoever.Lid will shut tightly.Holds lots of water (about a week +a few days for a flock of 6 chickens).Very easy to assemble.Cons:.The water cups do get pretty dirty fairly quickly..Price is pretty expensive for 2 plastic buckets. They're probably making a fortune off of these.. lolOverall, I would recommend these if the price isn't a deterent for you.

Love it!!! Super easy to assemble, very easy to clean. And great stability. On the lid it has a notice sticker that I “noticed†to late do not close the lid all the way it is pretty hard to get off when it’s time to do refills! Besides that we love it the girls have fresh clean water all the time and food is readily available whenever they need it!

The waterer is crap for adult chickens. The bowls are way too flimsy and they can knock this thing over like its nothing. The feeder is okay at best, and although it doesnt say to prop this up as well, you should. Both have LOCKING lids that you cannot close all the way - pointless for bulk feed and water like this. The kid accidently closed the water bucket all the way and we had to break the lid with the pull tab to open it back up for filling. We prob could have just drilled a hole in it and filled it that way but it seems pointless. For the cost of these at the time of review (69.95) you're better off DIYing it.

The water bucket is not as tough as the food bucket due to the spring loaded cups. My chickens prefer this waterer however because it keeps their water cooler than metal and the cups refill as soon as they drink. One cup broke quickly and I can't find a replacement but it was easy to plug the hole. Must be placed on a raised surface that fits beneath the bucket. It cannot be placed on the ground or a flat surface wider that tbe bottom. Get a couple 8x8" cement bricks to raise it up.The food bucket holds way more than my ten chickens eat in a few weeks, but it's the first thing tbey go to in the morning for a dry nibble. It holds both pellets and crumbles equally well. The lids stay on and tick off the raccoons though they can help themselves through the cups which can't be closed except from inside underneath the food. I keep this inside the locked run. I'd buy replacements for the water cups if I could. These are excellent but I think they are a bit pricey. They are easily cleaned. Just hose them out.The food does not leak. The waterer only leaks when the springs begin to wear out. I bought better springs at my local hardware store for a few cents.

Being new to raising chickens this product looked like the best option out there. After 3 weeks reality set in and I am finding out the water bucket doesn't work for us because all those little cups get quite dirty and the whole bucket has to be removed and water dumped out to clean each water cup. Also living in northern Wisconsin the water in the cups freezes overnight. The feeder creates a huge amount of waste as the chickens pull out the feed and only eat the corn and oats leaving the fine mix all around the outside of the feeder.

I bought these for when I went out of town. Not a super investment.Went through a full bucket of food in 2 days. The buckets are pretty easy to put together. The water bucket works pretty good. You have to set it up off the ground or the cups won’t stop trying to fill. You will lose all of your water. The feeder bucket wasn’t the greatest. It’s a good option if you want to feed every single bird and squirrel within a 5 mile radius though.
