They are exact to specs and work well on cutting new threads in steel or in cleaning up damaged/rusted threads in old pipe. Good tsps at a reasonable price!

I needed a 3/8 NPT tap for a project I am doing. So I ordered this set. I already have 1/4 and 1/2 NPT taps. The ones I have are imprinted with their size and the proper drill size to use. These inexpensive taps only have their size on them. Not a big deal as I asked SIRI what drill size for the 3/8 NPT tap and got the answer. I also had to grind the taper on the tap so it would start in the hole. Not great quality.

good tool for the money to fix the drain threads on the RV water heater. It gets coroded with the draining and open to the air. Nice thread cleanup for all sizes.

I only needed the 3/8. It did absolutely nothing. It might be good for an existing tap, but it wouldn't cut through aluminum. The tap started stripping and the aluminum I was trying to tap was left alone

For the price, I'm not expecting them to be hand me downs but for the limited times I need these, they'll work just fine.Used this to thread an NPT hole into pipe for an air control valve for my blasting cabinet.
