Using it protect items, including the inside of my SUV, from the sharp edges of my stainless steel metal detecting shovel.

This sandbag is very sturdy and is a go to for any photographer who wants to have a surefire way of stabilizing their equipment. Made with heavy-duty polyester material, this really have sturdiness to take the shootout in both indoor and outdoor environments without easily giving up. The tree-pattern design is appealing to the eye and practical in blending into natural environments during outdoor photography. It's a thoughtfully designed product that hits all the right boxes. The most striking thing about this case is the saddlebag construction. Its two-side construction allows the weight to distribute evenly, thus being perfect for securing tripods, light stands, or boom arms. Once, during a shooting outdoors in uneven terrain and on a very windy day, it held out perfectly, without a single wobble, steadying my tripod. Measuring 15.5"x9.4", the size is big enough to be compact, yet spacious, to hold a substantial amount of weight.I also like the foldable design and the shoulder strap it comes with. It goes down compactly when not in use, taking up less space in my gear bag. The added shoulder strap brings convenience for quick setups on the go, specifically when one has to move around multiple shooting locations. Evidently, the designers have put just as much thought into portability as they did with functionality-a huge win for both professionals and hobbyists alike. This has now become an essential in my photography kit. From anchoring in the studio to securing in the wild, this delivers on all grounds. For value, functionality, and aesthetic reasons, it's a very well-worth-it investment in anyone's serious photography setup.

I just acquired a set of C-stands, so I needed sandbags for safety and stabilization. This 6-pack of sand bags is an ideal and economical solution. The bags are very well made out of a heavyduty canvas-like material (it's actually polyester, but very tough), there is a strap across the middle of the bag for hanging, and they come with a very lightweight carabina for other hanging options. It also includes a dozen plastic ziplock pouches (you fill the pouches and put them in the sandbags). I filled them with pennies, as it was what I had handy, and they provide the right amout of weight for the space they talke up. The opening to the bags velcro shut, and there is a flap that folds over, which is also closed with velcro. The velco is probably the strongest I have ever encountered--it was a real struggle opening both layers of velcro, but this isn't much of an issue, as I don't expect to be replacing the contents of the sandbag, so once sealed, there will be little need to reopen them. The carabina's are very low quality (they might actually be the "fake" carabina's used as key rings), so I would change them out if I were using them to hang the sandbags overhead, but they have worked fine for dangling one of the bags from the stabilization hook on my tripod. At roughly $3 apiece, the price to quality ratio for these sandbas is excellent.

These bags have super strong velcro and they close in multiple ways to make sure the bags don't leak. They have included ziplocs to pack sand in, or you can simply put weights in them. Perfect for light stands, tripods, boom arms, etc. They're slightly smaller than I expected and my biggest complaint is that the included carabiners are junk. I replaced the carabiners with stronger ones, though, and these work really well.

This sandbag is all you need, there's no reason to spend more! The quality is great and so is the value. It's super sturdy and hasn't leaked at all once filled with sand. The separation in the middle makes it easy to place over c-stands and tripod legs. The weight is perfect even when using heavily rigged cameras. For some reason I thought this would come filled with sand but obviously that's not included. Seriously though I can't imagine needing anything else from a sandbag. The value on this one is crazy and there's not a point of weakness I can find unless you get a leaky one. I highly recommend this for it's value and quality, definitely going to pick up more!

I'm a tripod guy. I like tripods and prefer shooting with a solid base. But sometimes even a tripod fails, especially in the kind of strong winds we experience in Colorado. I think all of my better tripods have a hook to hang a weight for added stability, so this will be great with all of my tripods. I just find a few appropriately sized rocks, fill the bag, attach to the tripod hook, and presto... a much more stable tripod.I also carry a length of paracord and a tent stake which I can use instead of a weight if the conditions are right. I just drive the stake into the ground and tie the cordage from the tripod hook to the ground stake and tighten. But if there are rocks or mud or whatever else that would prevent the use of the stake/cord method, I have a fantastic weight bag to use.The camo also sort of matches the camo on my best wildlife tripod. Very cool, indeed.

I like how easy these are to use and how portable they are. I hang them from underneath my tripod and it adds extra stability enabling me to get more out of my night shots without slight movement. This is a photography must have, especially for night or even Timelapse shots where the camera needs to be stable.
