Becasue of how it is wrapped for shipping it needs to sit out for few days to regain shape. the edges maintain memory of the vacuum packing. I would also say it was more like 1.5" and not 2" thick as in the title and description. Soft foam hope it help protect some delicate electronics during storage and transport.

I reviewed this product right after receiving it and complained about the packaging. When it was received several of the rectangles were compressed on the edges and it looked like only a few of them would have a large enough space to be useful for me. But after putting them aside for a period of time when I went to move them all of them had resumed their original size and shape and were perfectly square on each corner and each edge was full and level. I would recommend them after all.

These foam sheets are actually sheets of VERY soft sponge and not at all suitable as foam inserts in cases since they are not sturdy at all.Yes, I did give them time to expand after removing them from the vacuum package.I am not posting photos since there are already enough photos here which accurately depict these sheets.Bottom-line: Not sturdy and not suitable as inserts in cases to protect items.

Comes vacuum sealed flat so when you open the package, you need about 3 days at the very least for them to return to their original form. Quality is okay and not that easy to cut.
