I found it dead easy to install and it just worked. After two seasons using a butane lighter we just wish we’d thought to replace the old starter sooner. Old starter was killed by a leaky battery so I’m resolved to remove the battery before we get to the really cold part of winter.

It took less than 15 minutes to install and test. The igniter, wires, sparkers, and igniter button were exact replacements for the originals. The igniter works as it should! Time will tell if it is durable.

I want to first acknowledge that the replacement igniter is working great!I replaced the igniter for an older Genesis II Grill. In the end, I was able to use all the original part except for the base housing the battery and wire connections. All the other parts were not needed. Seems wasteful and would have been nice to only buy the base.

Very simple to install within 10 minutes. Just like new after install. If you also need the burner diverters, the V shaped covers over the burners, search for both, the covers and the igniter kit at a savings.
