A valve spring compressor is a tool that is used to compress the springs on valves in an internal combustion engine. Fit both sizes. 3/8 and 7/16. Keep the valve up with air and changed out my springs.

It works.A bit difficult to use on a cylinder head that is not bolted down.To switch from 3/8 over to 7/16 you have to take the tool apart and flip the center shaft over. The lever handle is a sloppy fit, but it works.I have only tried it out on a small block chevrolet but can't see why it wouldn't work on other engines that have pushrod and stud type rockers. Probably no good for chrysler rail type rockers.I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!
