A valve spring compressor is a tool that is used to compress the springs on valves in an internal combustion engine. This is necessary when removing the valves from the engine for maintenance or repairs. Once the spring is compressed, the valves can be removed. Once the repairs or maintenance are completed, the valve springs are reinstalled and the compressor is used to decompress them
Installation steps for 6784 valve spring Compressor tool:
- Thread the valve spring compressor right onto the stud
- Get your fork to line up with the spring and install the handle
- Press it down onto the spring to the right locking position so you can get the valve keeper out
- Slowly decompress it and remove the spring out easily

Fit both sizes. 3/8 and 7/16. Keep the valve up with air and changed out my springs.

It works.A bit difficult to use on a cylinder head that is not bolted down.To switch from 3/8 over to 7/16 you have to take the tool apart and flip the center shaft over.The lever handle is a sloppy fit, but it works.I have only tried it out on a small block chevrolet but can't see why it wouldn't work on other engines that have pushrod and stud type rockers. Probably no good for chrysler rail type rockers.I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!
