Super easy to install and program. Instructions were easy to comprehend. My pool pump turns on at midnight and turn off a 6am everday without any problems. This timer can be swicthed to manual as needed or turned off as needed. Great price; I seen other name brand timers for $80. Shipped quickly and package nicely.

I would rate this a 10 if that were permitted!! When I read that these timers replaced the ET3 and was less than 1/3 the price I have been paying for the programmable timers, I decided to take the chance and order 2 of them. They came on Monday..I installed them on Tuesday. It took less than 10 minutes to take out the old timers and connect the wires to the new timers (I was able to program them before I installed them). I have a multi level Pentair pool filter and I was not sure if the timers would synch up with the filter. They did! The timers were very easy to program. And, I like the fact that the timers are 24 hour timers. Now I do not have to look at the teeny tiny AM/PM markings on the timers. Easy-Reliable-Inexpensive - what more could you ask for?!

Inexpensive alternative to factory gate timer. Works well. Only complaint is polarity had to be switched on terminal as timer stays in normally open position.

This pool timer is not reliable. Have ordered 4 or 5 of these because every other one does not work. The workmanship on these from China is terrible and unfortunately this item could easily cause a fire if it was not manufactured properly. Highly recommend you be careful if you order this. I could not find another source for this item so I was forced to order these and at least I have one that is working and another one coming in the mail today. It takes two for my pool system to work. Not good!!!!

I saw other reviews with buyers having failures as soon as they installed the product... but then other reviews were 5 stars. That concerned me however, this timer was half the price of the closest competing product. So my reasoning was like this: if this thing fails as soon as it's installed, the manufacturer is not doing any testing to weed out bad units from shipping, I can afford to buy another one and still come out even (minus the time and effort of course). Also this device is a direct replacement for one that I had in service for about 12 years and I didn't want to modify the panel or wiring to make a different model work (see photo, old on the left, new on the right). So, I took the chance and it has been in operation for over a month. I'm giving it 4 starts because it is tricky to program and the instructions are minimal but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. I will revisit this review if the timer ever fails.
