Don’t let the price fool you. This is a well-made clamp that works perfectly well. I used it on a monopod the day I got it and my camera was perfectly locked into place. I have spent three times as much before and I can’t tell the difference. I would rate it as a 10 for both ease of and value for the money…

I bought another round one from Amazon a few years ago. It was ok but this one is much better and more solid. The tightening knob is good size and easy to turn vs others that are much smaller and you can lose grip on them.Various holes in the unit's base allow for flexibility for mounting. I used the center hole and the supplied screw and it is as solid ass it can get.

I have Manfrotto tripod heads, a pan-tilt I used on a heavy tripod for my large format film cameras, and a ligher one for my digital SLRs. The latter tripod has a Manfrotto ball head which requires a PL-200 quick release plate. However, the L-brackets for my two Canon EOS cameras (a 7D and an IR-converted Rebel T3) fit an Arca-Swiss type quick release plate.It took a bit of futzing with this adapter to attach it to a Manfrotto PL-200 QR plate; the adapter has a flat bottom, but the QR plate does not. The secret is to remove the adapter's 3/8" insert (a wide flat blade screwdriver does the job) and use the supplied bolt to hold the QR plate to the adapter. Works great; holding tight.I'm very satisfied with this solution.

I needed this for a table top tropod so I could use my RRS camera brackets. This is well made and functions smoothly. Very close to my RRS clamps.

I have an older Really Right Stuff BH55 ball head with the quick release lever. I wanted to replace it with a screw release clamp, but RRS has changed how they attach their clamps to the ball head. So I took a gamble on this fitting, and it does. Nice large clamping surface, works well with a variety of Arca-Swiss plates on cameras and lenses.

I am a professional photographer and use this clamp and about a dozen more of them every day. They are heavy duty, solid, well engineered, and look good. The Arch dovetail is accurate and the screws is smooth and positive. I use it to mount $10K worth of camera equipment, upside down. These are my favorite full size QR clamps and at this price they are hard to beat. Highly recommended.

LIke a lot of these value-priced CNC-machined aluminum camera adapters, this one is a solid piece of kit for the amateur tog. I picked this up mainly as the missing link between the Arca-Swiss L-bracket holding my DSLR and either of my two bases: an older Manfrotto ballhead (486RC2) and an iOptron SkyGuider Pro. Works great for both purposes. The fact this particular adapter is 70mm long gives me some added confidence that the adapter is providing just a bit more support than the shorter adapters.
